How much fuel and reserves would you have, if you sprung up in spring in alignment with nature?
Perspective:
Culturally, the new year means developing new goals, new habits, and going to new heights. Most people losing motivation in just a few weeks.
What if instead you mimicked nature in winter? Hibernating instead of hustling, embracing dormancy instead of demanding, and resting instead of chasing the next big thing.
Nature teaches us the value of rest to conserve energy for springs renewal. Bears hibernate and trees shed their leaves during winter.
If you feel fatigued with the hustle culture this new year, listen to your body. Rest and let go of what no longer serves your well-being.
Remind yourself that nature still thrives, even in the dead of winter.
Evidence-based insight:
Incorporating mindfulness is shown to improve self-awareness that leads to better decision-making when it comes to rest and activity levels.
Start small. Practice daily focusing on your five senses, breathing, and environment.
Reflective question:
In what ways is your body calling you to rest, recharge, and prepare for your springtime growth?
